"MEPC for elephants"

Australia, Canada and India are worlds apart, and they are united at Hannover Adventure Zoo. Not only continents meet here, but also a wide variety of animal species.

In addition to Asian elephants, the Jungle Palace is also home to tigers, leopards and Hulman langurs.
However, the main focus of the facility, which was completed in 1997, was the keeping and breeding of Asian elephants.
New zootechnical findings and the desire to offer the elephants more space and a warm indoor enclosure in future led to an architectural competition.
The winners, PASD Architects, are already well advanced with their design for the new enclosure.
The plans include a variety of activities, feeding and scrubbing areas, different floors and a bathing pool. The palace hall will also offer the animals more space in winter. Orangutans, gibbons and Hulman's langurs will be the elephants' new neighbors.

IMF | Hannover has been involved in planning the expansion of the Jungle Palace for some time now.
In spring 2023, we were already able to support preparatory project measures with a small team.
We are currently starting to plan the plumbing, heating and ventilation for the new elephant run hall.

We are delighted to be able to help design a new highlight at Hannover Adventure Zoo and a great destination for families.
