Questions & Answers

Our answers to frequently asked questions:

Expertise

  • What is IMF's radius of action?

From its headquarters in Vienenburg and its 7 other locations in Bad Harzburg, Brunswick, Goslar, Hanover, Wernigerode, Essen and Wolfenbüttel, Ingenieurgesellschaft Meinhardt Fulst mainly works on regional and national projects throughout Germany.

The IMF | Essen location covers our projects in the Ruhr region and in North Rhine-Westphalia. IMF is able to guarantee support for nationwide and international locations thanks to the high operational readiness and flexibility of its employees.

IMF currently has a project-specific base in Wolfsburg.

  • On what scale does IMF handle projects?

Ingenieurgesellschaft Meinhardt Fulst is an engineering company for MEPC & HVAC with over 250 employees at 8 locations in Germany.

The IMF project managers and teams are selected and put together individually and flexibly within and across locations to meet the requirements of the respective clients and building owners. Thanks to many years of cooperation with regular customers and the large number of different customers from the private, public and commercial sectors, IMF is able to handle projects of any size and constellation.

  • Which projects are processed from where?

In principle, all engineering and drawing qualifications are available at our locations, so that every project could theoretically be processed from any location.

However, we always take the following principles into account when assigning the processing location:

    1. Sufficient employee capacities must be available for optimal project processing. We avoid cross-location processing.
    2. Our permanent customers are each looked after by one IMF location
    3. The distance to the project location should be as short as possible.
  • Are there project-related order limits?

No, we handle projects from the smallest scale upwards.

Our services for the smallest projects often relate to the simplest of requests for quotations, the coordination of the companies carrying out the work and the invoicing of the work carried out. For some of our regular customers, we take on the supervision and handling of all "small-scale" projects. Accordingly, IMF does not define a basic minimum size for accepting a project, even for new customers.

  • Do you have special site managers in your ranks?

No. Our planners are usually also our site managers. Our philosophy here is that a change of staff within a project inevitably means a loss of information, which is to your detriment.

We want to avoid this. Furthermore, by working in this way, our employees gain overarching experience in the areas of planning and construction management, which benefits the planning and construction process.

  • Do you also offer general planning services?

Yes, in addition to supply and electrical engineers, we also have architects and civil engineers in our ranks.

In projects in which the supply or electrical engineering requirements predominate (e.g. for technical centers, infrastructure projects, outdoor pool construction, etc.), we are also happy to offer our services as a general planner.

  • Do you also offer project management services?

Yes, we have numerous experienced planners and site managers in our ranks.

If required, they are also happy to take on project management.

  • Does IMF also create energy concepts?

Yes. We answer the frequent questions about intelligent and sustainable concepts for energy generation and optimization options for energy consumers with innovative implementation concepts, in which we always pay the greatest attention to economic feasibility in addition to technical feasibility. When it comes to issues relevant to building construction (e.g. the refurbishment of the external building envelope), we rely on the architects and construction engineers in our team.

Career

  • Is there an induction phase for career starters?

Yes. Thanks to the constant integration of trainees, career starters and graduates as well as our cooperation with regional technical and engineering colleges, we can draw on a wealth of experience in this area. Targeted and sustainable training of new team members is our motto. Mentors support our IMF | newcomers with all technical and organizational issues.

  • As an employee, can I choose the IMF location?

Yes, we attach great importance to employee satisfaction and therefore take into account, for example, the distance between the location and place of residence or other preferences when choosing a location.

A desired change of location is possible and is also supported by us to promote personal development.

  • How does the collaboration work?

Our project teams work in offices with 2 to 3 colleagues each. It is very important to us that all work can be completed quickly. The doors of our site managers and the management are always open for this purpose. We also have a secretariat at each of our locations, which is available for team and project assistance. The project teams are made up of career starters and experienced colleagues. A large proportion of our employees have been with IMF for 10 years or more.

  • What is the working atmosphere like?

Collaboration in our teams is always very targeted and collegial. Any problems that arise are discussed directly and constructively, and we can always count on the support of site management or senior management.

The pleasant and relaxed working atmosphere promotes team spirit. We also enjoy joint activities outside of working hours.

Anyone who knows us knows that the terms team spirit, friendship and trust in particular stand for IMF.
